Masculine Lovely As A Tree Card Idea

Lovely As A Tree

Going through Fall without at least a card or two featuring Lovely As A Tree would be terrible and this stamp set just begs for a masculine themed card.  This set has been around a long time and I believe, it is the oldest stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! catalog!

Your Stamping Teacher Tidbits:

  • Stamp the strand of trees in the background with Crumb Cake.
  • The focal point is the black grouping in the front.
  • Simplicity is key to a masculine card.
  • I never get tired of Lovely As A Tree.  My very first stamp set.
  • My cardstock choices are Baked Brown Sugar and Early Espresso

Old Meets New!

Your Stamping Teacher Tips:

  • Using one of the images from Work of Art, I stamped in Soft Suede and re-stamped without re inking two more times to create an ombre look.
  • Embossing the tree with black embossing powder makes it POP!
  • Oops!  I noticed a little tear on the left side.  Sorry about that!
  • I suppose I could have kept it to a clean layer, but I added a little dimension by lifting the birthday sentiment up and making a banner.

Something To Say with Wish Big!

Your Stamping Teacher Tips:

    • Having lots of Moonlight Designer Series Paper around inspires me to create several cards just like this one.  Remember this one?!
    • I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch on the sentiment piece by centering the card stock and punching.
    • You can never go wrong when coordinating your Designer Series Paper.  Spread them out and just pick a few.
    • Crushed Curry was my go-to ink and card stock with this card, even though the Moonlight DSP has Hello Honey in it.
