Bloomin’ Heart! | What I Love | Sale A Bration

Bloomin’ Heart!

Just because Valentine’s Day is over, doesn’t mean you need to put away all the heart stamps.  Or for that matter, heart thinlits, punches…etc!

Pink Heart

Don’t let this stunner of a thinlit die scare you away.  I have the perfect tool to get ALL those little pieces out of the heart.  The NEW Big Shot brush has answered my prayers AND it is so easy to use as well.

Check out the home office’s video on using this nifty tool!

Christine’s Tips:

  • Be sure to sponge the edges of the filigree heart.  You want to be sure that the die cut POPS when you adhere it to your cardstock.
  • I used Stampin’ Up’s! Fine Tip Glue Pen.  This is wonderful for adhering delicate cutouts, glitter or sequins.
  • One of my favorite NEW products is the banner thinlit found in the Large Numbers Framelits.  Yes, I find that quite versatile.  The bundle might be a little pricey, but it is well worth it considering the numbers that can be used on your cards, scrapbook pages and papercrafted projects.  Just sayin…

I simply cannot get enough of that simple saying on the What I Love stamp set that is FREE during Sale A Bration.  That one sentiment has really made me happy this year.  Remember,  purchase just $50 in my ONLINE STORE and that set is FREE!

What I love named

And finally one more thing…I stamped the inside with “you.” and also with the Hardwood Background stamp.  To get a very light image, I stamped off on a separate sheet of paper.

What I Love Crumb Cake-Stampin’ Up!

What I Love In Crumb Cake-Stampin’ Up!

Below is one of the cards that I completed.  Neutrals seem to be a go-to combination.

Kraft What I Love

I stamped in White Craft Ink and then added White Embossing Powder to heat set.  With a simple sponge dauber, I inked up in Crumb Cake and filled the centers of each flower.  Be sure to take a paper towel and wipe off the embossed image.  It will definitely make your image POP!

Kraft FlatInside was simply stamped with “you.”  on a layer of white cardstock.  I am totally loving that leaf image when stamped underneath the word.  Add a coordinating Crumb Cake envelope and you have the perfect card to send to someone special.  One more thing to note,  this easy peasy technique works better with light colors.

Layered Letters Love!

Layered Letters with Love!

Last weekend I was on a roll making cards in my studio.  After my Birthday Bash Card Class, I cleaned up and then, BAM!, inspiration set in and I was on a roll!  Don’t you just love it when the ideas just fall out of your head?!  This was one of the projects that I put together!

You can create your own words and messages and as you can see, I have put together LOTS of inspiration using this set.  Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, pair it with the Hardwood stamp.  That little zigzag line at the bottom is from the Sale A Bration set called Hello!

Break out the heart punches and add them instead of stamping the “o”.  Simply, rustic and clean!  My kind of card.

Here I popped up each layer of hearts.  You can use any Designer Series Paper you would like.  Here I chose something from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.  These little 6 x 6 packs are great to pull out and use on your projects.

Just look how pretty those papers are?!  The color combinations are exceptional!

Bloomin Love Congratulations

Bloomin Love Congratulations Card

The other day while surfing the web for the NEW 2016 Pantone Wedding Color trends, I came across this graphic that I thought you might like to see.  I took the liberty of adding the Stampin’ Up! color that I thought closely resembles the Spring Color Choice for 2016.

What do you think?  I pretty good match?!

2016 Wedding Colors

The card below uses the NEW Bloomin Love Stamp Set from the 2016 Occasions Catalog!  I am pretty sure that Stampin’ Up! gets it right each year with the trendy colors.  I turned this card into a Congratulations card for a newlywed couple for their wedding.  Even though this set is primarily for Valentine’s Day, make it versatile and use it for birthday, just because or even thank you.  Just change out the sentiment!

Bloomin LoveI added some pearls for a simple and elegant look.  Sometimes it is just the little things that add so much to your creation.

Below are the filigree hearts done in the Pantone 2016 Wedding Colors of the Year!  Look how gorgeous they are!  If you know ahead of time what the wedding colors will be, then perhaps one of these cards would be the perfect gift to the newlyweds.

What I Love-Black And White Card

What I Love Card – Black And White Card Idea!

Don’t you love how elegant this card looks?!  If you know me at all, you know that I love monochromatic cards and fonts.  This SALE A Bration stamp set, called What I Love…makes a gorgeous and stunning card for any occasion.

Just a simple “you” inside the card conveys your message clearly.

Christine’s Tips:

This card went together quickly!  Stamp the flowers first and  leave enough space in between to stamp the smaller flower and leaf images.  Balance each corner out by stamping in threes.

Heart Inside

It is Two-Step Stamping, but you can certainly use just the outlined images.  Below is a photo of the stamp set itself!  Who knew that something so simple can create a WOW!

Layered Letters Love You

Layered Letters Love You Card – Stampin’ Up!

This simple card is perfect for Valentine’s Day, Anniversary, Just Because and even a close friend.  But why not take it a step further and make one for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or even a special birthday?!

Using the NEW Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base is the perfect weight for holding up layers.  I make all my cards with a side folding edge.  I am just not a big fan of the top folding tent style card.

Love heartChristine’s Tips:

  • Experiment with different size hearts in place of the “O”.  I used the Hello Life Stamp Set for this along with punching a small heart.
  • Be sure to add a little bling with a rhinestone.
  • You could even add the “O” inside of a heart.
  • Change up the colors for other occasions.
  • Again, I simply cannot say enough good things about Stampin’ Up’s! NEW Archival Black Ink.  No smudging!

Bloomin’ Love Heart

Bloomin’ Love Heart-Stampin’ Up!

Isn’t this filigree heart from gorgeous?!  This die makes a stunning centerpiece and is so beautiful and eye catching that you can use it just by itself or with a coordinating set of stamps called Bloomin’ Love.  This bundle is discounted 15%!  I love discounts, that is why I purchase the bundles that Stampin’ Up! puts together.

I stamped the Hardwood stamp onto Whisper White using Sahara Sand ink and sponged the edges to make the background POP!

HeartThe hearts were die cut with Smoky Slate!  This color is one of my neutral go-to colors.  Using Basic Gray for the sentiment finishes it off.  Can you tell I am in LOVE with the sentiment?!  This is so wonderful that it can be used for Valentine’s, Anniversary, Just Because… etc!

Heart FlatOne of my tips for you is to stamp your envelopes.  Yes,  please do!  It adds so much to your beautiful cards.  If you go to the trouble of making a card, why not stamp the envelope?!

And last but not least, the inside of this card features, the word “you”.  A finish to the question on the front of the card.

Hello Life Stamp Set

Hello Life Stamp Set

Love Card

I guess you could say that I am desperately holding onto summer.   While I am not exactly into Halloween and the decorating and hoopla associated with it, we do hand out candy to the neighborhood kids when they stop by.  I guess you could say it is my least favorite holiday.

I used a variety of “blues” from Stampin’ Up! to achieve this beauty of a card.   I went with Bermuda Bay, Lost Lagoon and Night of Navy.  It is so easy to just stamp a background of hearts.  Creating your own paper is perfect when you have different textures of hearts, polka dots, stripes and just a line image.

The “love” can be used for just about any occasion, anniversary, birthday, wedding, etc.  You get the idea!

Christine’s Tips:

  • Stamp each patterned heart leaving enough space between for the next color.
  • The darkest color should be the one with the least amount of lines or space.  You only want that as the accent.
  • It is not always necessary to make a layered border around a piece of cardstock.   Think outside the box.  Make your back layer a little smaller as in the Night Of Navy piece behind the “love” sentiment.
  • Stamping in this technique is called a “one sheet wonder”.
  • Those Itty Bitty Accents Punches are amazing to have on hand when you need to add an embellishment with rhinestones.

The colors of red and pink are always associated with Valentine’s Day! So it is refreshing when the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Pack came out with the Crisp Cantaloupe as one of the main colors in the combination.

Here I used a plain black and white piece with arrows along with Real Red and the small Crisp Cantaloupe stamped hearts.
