Quick and Easy One Layer Note Cards!

Do you struggle to make simple and easy one-layer note cards?!

This week, I needed a few thank you notes.  During this time of year, it is easier to keep up with them if you have a few ready to go.

I pulled out the Note cards and Envelopes pack and was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the cardstock.  Much heavier than I expected.

Does this technique look familiar?!  It should!  The Ombre technique is quite popular and is SO easy to do.

I used the smallest snowflake in the Festive Flurry Stamp Set to create this super easy-to-create notecard.

Thank You Festive Flurry

How Did I Do It?!

1.  Ink up your stamp.  (Here I used Island Indigo)

2.  Stamp once.

3.  Repeat near the original image without re inking.

4.  Stamp next to the previous image, again without re inking.

5.  Repeat Step 4.

You could keep going until you run out of ink!

Festive Flurry Thank You The final touch, thank you was stamped, I love that font,  from the  (Lots Of Thanks) in the lower right corner and a sparkling star, (Merry Mini Punch Pack) with glimmer paper was added.

Handmade Gift Tags

Over the weekend, I was a baking machine. The snow came in early Saturday morning and didn’t stop until after we went to bed.  Great for staying home and doing everything on my to-do list, but shopping was out of the question.

Over on Facebook, I posted some of the cookies I made.

Today, I thought I would post the Sweet & Spicy Nut (YUM) packages along with the handmade tags.

How I did it!

Your Stamping Teacher Tip:  The large hole at the top can be shut closed by taping a piece of Washi Tape on both sides.

The Crumb Cake tags were cut with the Chalk Talk Framelits.

Wrap Season Of Style Washi Tape around the tag.

Punch a 1″ square, then cut the square in half using coordinating cardstock and Season Of Style Designer Series Paper.

If you notice, I used the Two Tags Punch to make the trunk of the tree.  And of course, what would a Christmas tree be without a sparkling star made with the Merry Mini Punch.  (A personal favorite)

Thank you to my daughter, Lindsay for providing the inspiration.

Using the Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die is a favorite of mine for making trees.  That coordinating colors of Old Olive and Crumb Cake in the Season Of Style Designer Series Paper pair very well together.

Of course, what would a card be without a matching envelope?!  Those Envelope Framelits are the bomb!

How To Make Holly and Berry Embellishments!

I am a BIG fan of using Stampin’ Up! punches in my projects!  So it goes without saying that if I can find a way to use them so that I don’t have to cut something out by hand, I am going to jump on it.

Why not make your own holly and berry embellishment using just two punches.  The small oval punch and the 3/8″ circle punch from the Merry Mini Punch Pack Trio.

Holly and Berry

This card can go together very quickly and easily using your Season Of Style Designer Washi Tape, Merry Christmas from More Merry Messages, and a holly and berry embellishment.
