Make It Monday!

Happy Monday morning!

Today is Make It Monday here on Your Stamping Teacher!

During the month of October, if you place an order with me, you will receive this quick and easy card using the Truly Grateful Stamp Set from the 2013 Holiday Catalog.  My October clubs used this set to create fall themed cards.

I fell in love with this set because of all the possibilities of both feminine and masculine card ideas!

Truly Grateful
Your Stamping Teacher Tip:   Be sure to stamp off of your cardstock when stamping in a collage technique.  It appears that the image goes beyond the edges.

Truly Grateful Close UpYou will find that today’s project goes together quick and easy!  My kind of card!

Now go and stamp something…you’ll be glad you did!

Faux Sanding Technique

Do you like the Core’dinations Cardstock, but don’t like all the dust from the sanding?!   I’m with you!

I created this super easy and unique technique using Stampin’ Up’s! Whisper White Craft Ink and Stampin’ Sponge to create a beautiful card that will shine alongside the distressed and eyepopping look of the Core’dinations Cardstock.

Faux Sanding TechniqueYour Stamping Teacher Tip:  Be sure to start off lightly with your Whisper White Craft Ink.  You can always add more, but you can’t remove it.

Faux Sanding Tech Close UpYour Stamping Teacher Tip:

  • Co-ordinate your cardstock color choices with your Designer Series Paper.
  • Be sure to purchase Bundled products to save 15%.  Check my bundled products on the right side of my website.

Now go and stamp something truly special….Christine

Masking Tape Technique and Video

The  Masking Tape Technique is all the rage over the internet right now!  Well, grab your painter’s tape and ink pads and let’s get started!  Today’s card is seasonally themed and is perfect for using your outlined stamps such as the Gently Falling leaves and the Magnificent Maple leaf.

Masking Tape Technique Of course, you can change out the colors and use the best  stamps for the season.

Your Stamping Teacher Tip:

  • For optimal results, use the NEW foam ink pads for the best results.  While you can use your older ink pads, be sure to increase the pressure on the painter’s tape with the ink to add the ink to the tape.  The different ink pads DO give a different look.
  • Add interest to your background by changing the way you add the painter’s tape.  Horizontally, vertically, diagonally.
  • Be sure to use a repositionable painter’s tape.  Even though it is called the Masking Tape Technique, masking tape is generally not repositionable.
  • You can use your Washi Tape as well for this one.

Please excuse my voice on the video.  Many people including myself don’t like to hear our voices.  When you hear your voice on video for the first time, the immediate reaction is, “Do I really sound like that?!”   But over time, I have come to ignore it and just edit it and move on.  I hope you will too!  By the way, I was getting over a cold!

See the Masking Tape Technique in action!

Now go and stamp something….and share it with me!

My Digital Studio-Text To Path

Happy Monday to all!  This weekend was half lazy and half busy….but I took an opportunity to play with My Digital Studio and created a scrap layout from a recent trip to Boston.  Gotta love weekends!

Today’s page amazes me!  I used the Follow Your Bliss download and with so many papers and embellishments that I couldn’t decide which one to use.

I also learned how to do the text to path technique!  Will be using that A LOT more in my scrap layouts.
