Rustic Wedding Card!

Rustic Wedding Card!

This sweet wedding card was CASEed using Petal Palette Bundle.

What is CASE-ing? The acronym CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything. When you CASE you can change nothing, a few things, or sometimes the card you are CASE-ing turns out looking completely different than the original.

One snowy afternoon while surfing the web, I came across a rustic card layout from another demonstrator, name Su Mohr.  Sometimes the best ideas do come from other demonstrators.  Using products from the Occasions catalog, I set about to change it somewhat slightly.

I am sure any lucky bride and groom will swoon over this handmade card.

Serene Scenery Wedding Card

Serene Scenery Wedding Card

Green Wedding CPThe Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper has become a fast favorite among my printed papers.  As you can see by this picture, stamping on it is easy.  In case you are wondering, the paper is designed to look like the sun is shining through. Gee!  I’ll bet you thought my photography skills were bad, didn’t you?!

Green Wedding BoxChristine’s Tips:

  • I used the Better Together Stamp Set.  Let me tell you, this set has lots of pretty sayings and font styles.
  • The best part about using the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper, is that you can pick which area of the paper you would like to use on your card.
  • Notice that this card only has two layers:  The base cardstock and the printed paper with the stamped image.  My kind of card.  Quick and easy!
  • I used only Archival Basic Black Ink!
  • Use the Hostess Code HVXNTG4V when you place your order in my Online Store and I will send you a package of the Linen Thread, which as become a favorite. Do not use the Hostess Code if you place an order of $150 or more. You will still receive the FREE Gift.

Stampin’ Up! Butterflies Thinlit Dies

Butterflies Thinlits and Fluttering Embossing Folder

The Butterfly Thinlits makes for a quick and easy elegant embellishment on any card.

Butterfly CongratsOne of my favorite NEW products in the Occasions Catalog is this nifty tool called the Big Shot Die Brush!  Let me tell you, this tool is a genius!  While I love intricate designs, I do not like poking all the little pieces out of the die.  This tool makes it easy!  Do you remember the video that I shared a little while ago?  Details here, just in case!

For a little stability on the backside of the butterfly, I added a solid butterfly cut out from another framelit in the collection.

Using the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Trio, I punched two flowers, adhered them together and added a rhinestone.

Adding a little Wink Of Stella to the butterfly really adds a nice shimmer without the mess.  The brush tip is perfect for writing or adding a subtle controlled glitter to your projects.

That “Congratulations” is from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set.  I love it and it fits nicely in the banner framelits from the Number of Years Bundle.

Bloomin Love Congratulations

Bloomin Love Congratulations Card

The other day while surfing the web for the NEW 2016 Pantone Wedding Color trends, I came across this graphic that I thought you might like to see.  I took the liberty of adding the Stampin’ Up! color that I thought closely resembles the Spring Color Choice for 2016.

What do you think?  I pretty good match?!

2016 Wedding Colors

The card below uses the NEW Bloomin Love Stamp Set from the 2016 Occasions Catalog!  I am pretty sure that Stampin’ Up! gets it right each year with the trendy colors.  I turned this card into a Congratulations card for a newlywed couple for their wedding.  Even though this set is primarily for Valentine’s Day, make it versatile and use it for birthday, just because or even thank you.  Just change out the sentiment!

Bloomin LoveI added some pearls for a simple and elegant look.  Sometimes it is just the little things that add so much to your creation.

Below are the filigree hearts done in the Pantone 2016 Wedding Colors of the Year!  Look how gorgeous they are!  If you know ahead of time what the wedding colors will be, then perhaps one of these cards would be the perfect gift to the newlyweds.

Two Owls Engagement Card

Two Owls Engagement Card

Engagement

Do you want to know two things that make me really happy when I papercraft?!  Stampin’ Up! Builder punches AND making cards for someone who probably is not expecting a handstamped or handmade card.  This card went to a teacher who just recently got engaged.  While I can’t be everywhere, I would love to be a fly on a wall when the recipient opens the  envelope.

This card was definitely Pinterest inspired!  Many times when recreating something from Pinterest, I don’t have the supplies needed, so I improvise.  The Hardwood Stamp is getting quite the workout in my studio.

To achieve the rustic feel of this card, I sponged the edges of the sentiment from Big News in Early Espresso and added mini metal brads.

The two hearts stamped on the envelope are from Hello Life.  The outlined hearts are perfect to create an interlocking pair.
