Christmas Pines – Nature Inspired

espresso-pinesToday’s card features the Christmas Pines stamp set and coordinating framelits.   Just one of the many cards that did not make it to the Christmas Card Class this year.

Nature usually always inspires my card ideas and I hope they do for you as well.  Keeping your holiday card simple makes mass producing them easy.

Christine’s Tips:

  • Stamp a few of the flourishes from the stamp set and then go back and use your square framelit to pick the best image.
  • Turn the square around for each.  You want random images pointing in different directions.
  • The little bow comes from the Mini Treat Bag Framelit die.  Be sure to check out the additional items in these framelit dies, specifically the Mini Treat Bag and the Cutie Pie Framelits.  Lots of wonderful little goodies can be found.
  • Don’t overlook the Holiday Catalog for your Holiday sentiments.
  • Did you spy with your little eye the Merry Christmas sentiment?  Yes, indeed I did cut it.  I usually do that so that I can use the stamp set with the small print underneath.  Don’t be afraid to cut them as well.

Lovely As A Tree Christmas Card

Lovely As A Tree Christmas Card

black and white tree upright

If I could skip over Halloween and jump right into Thanksgiving and Christmas, I would be totally happy with that.

One of my all time favorite and oldest stamp set in my collection happens to be Lovely As A Tree!  If it is one of yours as well, drop me a note in the comment section below.

Christine’s Tips:

  • Stamp the foreground in the black ink. Then without reinking, stamp in between the trees for a 3-d effect.
  • I used Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  One of my favorite color combinations.  Stunning and elegant all at the same time.
  • “Thinking Of You At Christmas” is a favorite sentiment from the White Christmas stamp set.
  • Remember, stamp in odd numbers.  The trees are stamped five times, three in the black and two more times stamped off.
