Vintage Leaves for Fall

Vintage Leaves!

Today I wrap up the week with a quick and simple idea for either a birthday or thank you card.  I just adore the Vintage Leaves Stamp Set.  Here I stamped the three leaves in Fresh Fig, Old Olive and Crushed Curry for a wonderful and warm feel to Autumn.

Christmas Pines

Christmas Pines

season-of-joy

As you can tell, if I could, I would skip right over Halloween.  (audible gasp)  I have never been a big a fan nor will I send out cards for the event.  So without further adieu, today’s card features the Christmas Pines stamp set!  What I love most is the clean and simple elegance of this card and the WOW factor that it provides.

Love To Ink’s Tips:

  • I have kept the inks to two.  Old Olive and Archival Basic Black!  By the way, it is my NEW favorite ink.
  • Stamp off the sides of the Whisper White layer cardstock for that peek a boo look.
  • I added pearls for a little bit of POP!

Another Thank You Photopolymer

Using the Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp is terrific when paired with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch.

Sigh!  The Fresh Prints Designer Paper Pack is retiring.   But, WOW! can’t even begin to describe all the NEW Designer Paper in the coming 2014-2015 Annual Catalog.  And, yes, that 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon made it into the NEW Catalog as well.

Thank You BurlapYour Stamping Teacher Tips:

  • Trim the end of the Burlap Ribbon to make produce a pennant end.
  • Add lots of glue dots when adhering the Burlap Ribbon.
  • To pop up the 2 1/2″ circle stamped image, add Stampin’ Dimensionals along the edges of the Burlap ribbon, then place your stamped image over.

Pansy Punch and Fresh Prints Designer Paper Pack

Are you someone who takes out their craft supplies, then proceeds to sit and stare at your supplies while thinking of something to make?

A quick solution is to open any Stampin’ Up! catalog and use a layout to get your crafting started.

I, like many, am strapped for time, so I find this method quick, easy and saves time as well.

Pansy PunchYour Stamping Teacher Tips

  • Using the Fresh Prints Designer Series Pack?  Layout the papers side by side for the best coordination.
  • The Silver Glimmer paper adds a lot of bling to any project.  It pairs particularly well with the Coastal Cabana.
  • Try stamping your sentiment and turning it in the vertical position for something different.
  • Pennants are all the rage, so be sure to cut all the ends to keep the theme.
  • The Express Yourself sentiments are hostess stamps.  Need the perfect words to add to your card?  This fits the bill!  I can show you how to earn yours for FREE!

Do you have a favorite Designer Series Paper for this season?  I happen to love the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Pack.  Easy to use and easy to coordinate.

Stampin’ Supplies:

  • Stamps:  Express Yourself (Hostess)
  • Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar
  • Paper:  Whisper White,  Fresh Prints Designer Paper Pack, Silver Glimmer Paper, Coastal Cabana
  • Accessories:  Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Large Rhinestones

Quick and Easy One Layer Note Cards!

Do you struggle to make simple and easy one-layer note cards?!

This week, I needed a few thank you notes.  During this time of year, it is easier to keep up with them if you have a few ready to go.

I pulled out the Note cards and Envelopes pack and was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the cardstock.  Much heavier than I expected.

Does this technique look familiar?!  It should!  The Ombre technique is quite popular and is SO easy to do.

I used the smallest snowflake in the Festive Flurry Stamp Set to create this super easy-to-create notecard.

Thank You Festive Flurry

How Did I Do It?!

1.  Ink up your stamp.  (Here I used Island Indigo)

2.  Stamp once.

3.  Repeat near the original image without re inking.

4.  Stamp next to the previous image, again without re inking.

5.  Repeat Step 4.

You could keep going until you run out of ink!

Festive Flurry Thank You The final touch, thank you was stamped, I love that font,  from the  (Lots Of Thanks) in the lower right corner and a sparkling star, (Merry Mini Punch Pack) with glimmer paper was added.
