Bloomin Love Congratulations

Bloomin Love Congratulations Card

The other day while surfing the web for the NEW 2016 Pantone Wedding Color trends, I came across this graphic that I thought you might like to see.  I took the liberty of adding the Stampin’ Up! color that I thought closely resembles the Spring Color Choice for 2016.

What do you think?  I pretty good match?!

2016 Wedding Colors

The card below uses the NEW Bloomin Love Stamp Set from the 2016 Occasions Catalog!  I am pretty sure that Stampin’ Up! gets it right each year with the trendy colors.  I turned this card into a Congratulations card for a newlywed couple for their wedding.  Even though this set is primarily for Valentine’s Day, make it versatile and use it for birthday, just because or even thank you.  Just change out the sentiment!

Bloomin LoveI added some pearls for a simple and elegant look.  Sometimes it is just the little things that add so much to your creation.

Below are the filigree hearts done in the Pantone 2016 Wedding Colors of the Year!  Look how gorgeous they are!  If you know ahead of time what the wedding colors will be, then perhaps one of these cards would be the perfect gift to the newlyweds.

Birthday Blossoms-Stampin’ Up!

NEW! Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set!

This past month I ordered a few new stamp sets when the NEW Annual Catalog came out.  One of the products that Stampin’ Up! came out with in this go-round of catalogs,  YIPPEEE!, thicker Whisper White card stock for bases.  I can’t tell you enough how excited I was to see that.  Don’t get me wrong, our Whisper White card stock is still the bomb, however, you WILL fall in love with the Thick Whisper White card stock!

Birthday BlossomsFirst I stamped my flower images from Birthday Blossoms in Stazon on my watercolor paper.  Then, with my trusty Aquapainter, I brushed Watermelon Wonder ink on it using the Aquapainter with water in it so the ink was watered down in various spots.

Putting it aside when I was finished to let it dry, I prepped my small piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 3.5″ x 4.5″.  A piece of Watermelon Wonder card stock was cut at 3 5/8″ x 4 5/8″.  I love to keep the layer on the thinner side.  Stamping in Stazon the lines from Gorgeous Grunge and the Just Because along side.

Since I simply cannot go without a Stampin’ Dimensional or two, I added those to the backside of each flower.  Oh and a little sparkle to the center of each flower as well.
