Just For You-Botanicals For You

Botanicals For You-Just For You-Stampin’ Up!

BIG, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL!  That describes this card perfectly.  Handwritten bold fonts are super trendy at this time and these colors scream Spring to me.

Sometimes the best cards are the ones you get inspiration from in the catalogs!  Isn’t that why we have them?  One thing I love about this card is the bright and colorful inks that were used.

Just For YouChristine’s Tips:

  • Don’t be afraid of color.  Using the Archival Black Ink with these beautiful colors really makes them POP!  I used Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron.  I got the color combination from the It’s My Party Enamel Dots in the Occasions Catalog.  You will want a package of those, I guarantee it!!!

The stamp set I used can be earned by simply placing a $50 order in my ONLINE STORE!

NEW! Video Technique-Spotlighting

This is one of those techniques that never gets old!

The Spotlight Technique is a great way to showcase part of your image and the thing about this card is that it keeps with a clean and simple theme without adding a lot of weight to the card.

Spotlighting TechniqueYour Stamping Teacher Tip:  Use your Stamp A Ma Jig to perfectly place your sentiment.

For The Birds and Blog Candy Winner!

While Christmas cards for me are winding down, I thought I would make a little something not Christmas related using a stamp set that I earned last spring.   For The Birds has a few of those images that are super cute and easy to use for any occasion.

The Festive Flurry Designer Series Paper and the Festive Flurry Framelits don’t have to be for Christmas.  Use them to make winter themed cards.  Remember, we still have January, February and most of March…..

This color combination of Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Island Indigo and Whisper White is so reminiscent of an island retreat, complete with spa.

Your Stamping Teacher Tip:    Add a splash of color to the bird with Pool Party and Island Indigo markers.

Congratulations to Myra McSperrin  #16

Myra McSperrin  “Love, love, love the color combination you used on todays card! I love neutrals. As far as Christmas shopping – almost done. Just shopping for my son now. In place of exchanging gifts, I have requested that we each use the time that we would have used shopping for a gift, instead spend the time relaxing and just enjoying the holiday season.”

You can email me at christine@christinepyrch.com in the next 24 hours with your US mailing address.  I will get your goodies to you immediately.

Now go and create….

Flower Power!

Whoo Hooo!   Summer break  is here!

Got out of bed and just enjoyed the stillness of the  morning while enjoying my coffee with my husband, knowing that I don’t have to be somewhere on someone else’s schedule.

Being an early riser, I was able to get a three mile run in early since it is going to be  HOT, HOT, HOT, and HUMID!

This month, for clubs and classes, I have been focusing on the NEW Flower Shop stamp set, along with the Pansy Punch!  Stampin’ Up! has come through and offered us bundles for 15% discount.  What’s not to love about that?!

Want to join a Virtual Club?!

I offer two choices!  Either the two videos or the actual two club projects!  Visit my Virtual Club Page for more details!

The Flower Shop bundle can be seen here. Love that you can purchase the punch AND the stamp set together for 15% discount!

Your Stamping Teacher Tip:

There is a trick to mounting the stamps so that you can perfectly punch and line up the images.  Do you want me to shoot a video on that?  Let me know and I will get one up this week!  You must email me at christine@christinepyrch.com or leave a comment on this post.

This card is earmarked for a sympathy.  I think the sentiment from Word Play works well.
