Vintage Leaves for Fall

Vintage Leaves!

Today I wrap up the week with a quick and simple idea for either a birthday or thank you card.  I just adore the Vintage Leaves Stamp Set.  Here I stamped the three leaves in Fresh Fig, Old Olive and Crushed Curry for a wonderful and warm feel to Autumn.

Soft Suede Leaves

Are you overloaded with Vintage Leaves?  Not me!  One of the benefits of having a versatile stamp set like Vintage Leaves is that it can be used for ANY occasion.

I know what you are thinking!  Is this the only stamp set she has?  Of course not, silly!  But I love to show everyone, many different ideas on what can be done with one set.

I will be the first one to tell you if I have purchased a stamp set and then not be happy with my purchase.

Christine’s Tips:

  • Turn the pretty Typeset paper on an angle and trim the edges.
  • Don’t overlook the Tin Of Cards Stamp Set as merely a kit stamp.  There are LOTS of wonderful sentiments that are easy to work with.

One more thing…the Thick Whisper White cardstock is the BOMB!

Fall Leaves

Christine’s Tips:

  • To provide a shadow underneath the Blackberry Bliss leaf that is popped out, die cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and adhere to the backside of the leaf.
  • Adding a few ink splotches from Gorgeous Grunge really provides some textural interest and depth to the leaves.
  • Be sure to stamp your envelope.
  • I used a mask of a 1″ strip of copy paper across the front of the card and then stamped the leaves in various colors, overlapping them.

  • I love this stamp set so much, I have been having the time of my life with it.  All kinds of combinations.
  • Sticking with a monochromatic color scheme gives the card an elegant and sophisticated feel.
  • Thanks Pinterest for the inspiration.  I love taking a bit of time and just looking at different ideas.  I just wish I had more time to do that.  (sigh)

Blackberry Bliss Leaves

This simple birthday card was easily made using the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  Blackberry Bliss and Sahara Sand are two favorites for this time of year.

Christine’s Tips:

  • Do you think it might be too simple or want to add an embellishment, try using the coordinating Leaflet framelits by stamping a small leaf, die cutting it and then popping it up on the layer.
  • Keep some white space in the middle for your sentiment.
  • Larger sentiments work well for this!
  • Of course, don’t forget to stamp your envelope!
  • When you make a card that has a white base, be sure to use Stampin’ Up’s! NEW Thick Whisper White Cardstock!
