Stampin’ Up! Work Of Art!

Stampin’ Up! Work Of Art!

Two weeks ago, I was in my studio glancing through Etsy and I came across a card that was printed on a computer.  However, my wheels started to spin and I thought I could loosely recreate the background by using the long strip from Work Of Art!  Now, I know many of you do NOT like to mass produce cards, however, I have a plethora of birthdays that I need to send cards out for and those NEW In Colors where just calling my name.

birthdayThese are just a few of the cards I made.  My son’s birthday has come and gone and I didn’t get the picture of his card.  Suffice it to say that since he is in the Air Force, it was based on their colors.  Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Basic Gray.

My daughter’s boyfriend’s birthday was a few days later.  I produced a card with camouflage colors, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand.

I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and the Classic Label punch for the birthday sentiment.  If you notice carefully on the right side, I masked the area where I stamped Happy Birthday for something a little different.

These cards were absolutely fun to make, especially when you are looking for different color combinations.  I went straight to my Pinterest Account and went to my Color Combination Board for inspiration.

Quick and Simple One Layer Card Idea!

Work Of Art and Butterfly Basics!

One of my favorite things to do is come up with a One Layer card idea! Just like masculine cards, One Layer cards can be a challenge for most of us.  Here I picked a muted color palette with which to work with.   What I love about Stampin’ Up! is the wonderful coordination of products!

Work Of Art-Your Stamping Teacher

Your Stamping Teacher Tips:

  • Look at your surroundings for inspiration.  This wonderful season of Autumn is a perfect time to just imagine the possibilities.
  • Mine came from a tree that I pass by everyday to go to work.  All the other trees were still green, however, this one was bright yellow.  Perhaps one of the first to change color.
  • Work of Art provides limitless  opportunities in how you stamp.  Think outside the box with this set.
  • Go with different shades of greens to give that great ombre look which is hot right now.
